i received this camera as a gift for Christmas in 2008 and loved it. however in july of 2009 i dropped it in the sand while it was off and the lens was closed and somehow sand got in it and it said lens error and then did not turn on for a month, i would periodically blow on it in hopes to get the sand out, and after a month it just turned on and worked. i would still have this camera if i hadn’t dropped it on the open lens this past june, it still turns on and everything, it even takes perfect video but all the pictures have likes and a weird purple tint…. so i believe the camera is great i just need to be a little more careful.
